Description
The Sr. Manager, Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology is responsible for providing translational, clinical pharmacology and pharmacometric deliverables for development assets from pre-IND to Phase III. This incumbent will apply quantitative modeling methodologies inclusive of population PK, PKPD, quantitative system pharmacology (QSP), disease progression modeling using multivariate statistical and empirical approaches, as well as AI/ML based algorithms to integrate, analyze and interpret diverse data sources (e.g., pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics including biomarker & imaging, electronic health records).
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Perform advanced pharmacometrics, QSP and disease progression analyses and activities within assigned programs to yield high value population PK, PK/PD, QSP and disease progression modeling support for critical decision making
- With guidance, implement novel data analytics and solutions for data visualizations, automation of analytics workflows for nonclinical and clinical data
- With guidance, collaborate with stakeholders to co-develop data workflow and dashboards that facilitate centralized database and access, model utilization and output interpretation
- Influence internal and external environment through publication and presentations at key scientific conferences and consortia
Desired Education and Skills:
- PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacometrics, biomedical engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a pharmacometrician, or QSP modeler within pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in developing Population PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, QSP, disease progression modeling and other model based-analyses to aid in research and development decision making.
- Proficiency in R, NONMEM, Python, MATALB or other similar programing languages.
- Experience in developing advanced analytics that includes predictive, prescriptive & machine learning capabilities is a big plus
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and collaboration skills
- Experience in gene therapy and rare diseases is a plus, but not required.
